A message from our marketing assistant
& Calderwood Coffee founder, Louise Murphy

"Thank you for visiting our page.

I am very proud of our exclusive, unique blend of delicious coffee, tasted & chosen by us!

Our coffee is also roasted locally by Shiloh Coffee Roasters Ltd in Whitehaven, West Cumbria. Calderwood Coffee’s social impact isn’t limited to West Cumbria. All the beans are ethically sourced from sustainable farms, ensuring fair wages and working conditions for the farmers. Our signature blend combines beans sourced from India, Brazil and Uganda. Blends are created for flavour consistency. If you want your coffee to taste relatively the same with every cup, blends are a great choice.

The profit we make on sales goes straight back into funding our vital services.

This organisation was there for me when my life reached its lowest point. Thanks to their support, I’ve been able to turn my life around and by creating and selling this coffee, I am giving something back while making a tangible difference to the lives of those who need it most. There is still a lot of stigma around the homeless and how someone ends up in that position.

I was once that person, suffering severe mental health issues and trauma, I was marginalised by society and seen as a difficult person who no service wanted to work with. I was given an opportunity by Time to Change and here I am today. I have proven that people like me can get better, people like me deserve a voice to create change. Our wonderful Calderwood House residents / ex-residents all deserve a better, brighter future that's free from poverty, abuse and a safe place to call home.

Time to Change West Cumbria believe in the power of community and the simple act of coming together over a cup of coffee to create positive change. Every time our customers sit down with a cup of our coffee, that’s exactly what they’re doing.”
